Dear President or Manager of Hanover Township Sports League,

Please be advised that as part of the responsibility for using the fields in Hanover Township, we ask that you work with the Health Department should anyone on one of your teams test positive or develop symptoms for Covid -19.

Before you send any notification out to your membership or club, please seek the guidance and direction of the Hanover Township Health Department, Public Health Nurse, Kathryn Whitehead, BSN, RN.

She will assist you in identifying the correct players and coaches who need to be notified and quarantined as well as anything else that needs to be done.  This will eliminate creating panic, over sharing information or providing incorrect information during this difficult time when everyone is already anxious.  The Health Department should be contacted immediately.

Please also, in your permission to play, be sure that families understand, that there is a current pandemic going on.  While New Jersey is in a good place now, things can change at any time.  Players play on multiple teams; cross state lines and things happen.  Playing sports on a team is allowed at this time but playing sports during a pandemic is still an increased risk.  Everyone should keep that in mind.
